BREAKING NEWS: Udu APC Media Team Elects, Swears In New Executive Council

The Udu Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has successfully concluded the election and inauguration of a new Executive Council for its Media Team, with Comrade Godwin Unity Erhuvwuoghene emerging as Coordinator.

The electoral exercise, held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Ovwian Grammar School, was conducted under the supervision of a duly constituted Electoral Committee. The process was widely commended for its transparency, orderliness, and strict adherence to established party guidelines.

Party members turned out in significant numbers to participate in the exercise, casting their votes through a peaceful and well-coordinated secret ballot system.

The conduct of the election reflected a collective commitment to internal democracy, unity, and the continued growth of the APC in Udu.

At the conclusion of the exercise, the following individuals were declared elected and subsequently sworn in as members of the Udu APC Media Team Executive Council:

Comrade Godwin Unity Erhuvwuoghene – Coordinator, Mrs. Rachael Ogbubu – Deputy Coordinator, Comrade Atumu Albert Jnr – Secretary General, Benedicta Okima – Assistant Secretary General, Rhoda David – Financial Secretary, Sarah Segba – Treasurer
Otarerhi Onoriode Gabriel – Welfare Officer, Emuejeaboghene Gere F. – Publicity Secretary, Oniyan, Jeremiah – Organizing Officer
Omonime Emmanuel – Legal Adviser.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Coordinator, Comrade Godwin Unity Erhuvwuoghene, expressed appreciation to the party leadership, led by Rt. Hon. (Evang.) David Siloko, JP, as well as members of the Media Team for the confidence reposed in the new executive.

He pledged to reposition the Media Team into a dynamic platform for grassroots mobilization, ensuring effective communication of the party’s policies and achievements across Udu.

He also acknowledged the support of the Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon. (Chief) Vincent Oyibode, for his role in fostering a conducive environment throughout the electoral process.

Speaking on behalf of the Electoral Committee, the Secretary, Mr. Ejovwo Emmanuel, reiterated the committee’s commitment to delivering a credible and peaceful process, noting that the mandate entrusted to them had been successfully fulfilled.

In his remarks, media practitioner and stakeholder, Mr. Ejiro Oniyan, commended the Electoral Committee for its transparency and consistency.

He urged the newly inaugurated executive to adopt an inclusive approach, emphasizing that effective media engagement requires teamwork.

He further called on all APC social media practitioners to support the new leadership.

The event culminated in a formal swearing-in ceremony, ushering in a new phase of proactive, strategic, and coordinated communication for the APC in Udu.
