Motorists and commuters using the Airport Road corridor in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, have been placed on alert as severe traffic congestion is expected on Monday, 2 February 2026.
According to traffic advisories, the gridlock is anticipated along the Mosheshe Estate axis of the Airport Road between 10:00am and 10:00pm, following a major event scheduled to take place within the estate on that day.
The development is expected to significantly disrupt vehicular movement and slow down traffic flow for several hours.
Road users are therefore strongly advised to plan their journeys in advance, exercise patience, and make use of alternative routes where possible to avoid delays and inconvenience.
