The former Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly (NASS), Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, has been discharged and Acquitted.
Nwaoboshi was convicted and jailed for alleged N805 million fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
He was accused of been on the run since he was jailed for seven years for corruption over seven months.
The Senator was freed by the Supreme Court in Abuja, upturn the conviction of the Nwaoboshi by a Lower Court (Court of Appeal).
The Apex Court discharged and Acquitted the Oracle and termed his conviction by the appellant Court as perverse, unconstitutional and abuse of human rights of the appellant.
