BREAKING NEWS: PDP Heavyweight Resigns In Delta Central

A former governorship aspirant under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Aghwarianovwe Novwe Ikie, has resigned his membership of the PDP after he lost his case of forgery against the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

He resigned Friday July 7th 2023, in a letter addressed to Ward 9 Chairman, Eku, Ethiope east local government area of the State.

In his resignation letter, he said: “please, accept this as my resignation from the party with effect from 07 July 2023.

“I thank you for your anticipated co-operation”.

Meanwhile, in his Facebook page, Okie said he wished to live a peaceful and quiet life.

Hear him: “Following the loss of my appeal at the Supreme Court today, I hereby publicly tender my resignation from the PDP.

“I use the opportunity to thank all those that stood by me in this struggle. I gave it my all and now have nothing left to give.

“My only request is to be left to live the rest of my life peacefully and quietly”, he added.
