The Isoko North Legislative Arm has suspended a principal officer, Hon. Frederick Olori, the councilor representing Ellu, Ovrode, Aradhe ward, with immediate effect.

The embattled councilor was replaced with Hon. Anthony Ugoje, from the same Ward.

Hon. Olori, was suspended alongside five others for gross misconduct and breach of oath of office.

Their suspension was carried out Thursday 30th March 2023, during plenary presided over by the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Francis Udubra, at an emergency meeting with thirteen other members.

A letter from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Isoko North Chapter and signed by Chairman, Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. Dcn. Christian Othuke Iteire and David, Iteire Media Team Coordinator respectively demanded their immediate suspension.

A source disclosed that “With the resolution that, the present majority leader of the house; Hon. Frederick Olori, Councilor representing Ellu, Ovrode, Aradhe ward, should be replaced immediately with Hon. Anthony Ugoje, who is also from Ellu, Ovrode, Aradhe ward.

“The House resolved that the following members are hereby suspended forthwith for six months without salary and any form of allowances from the Council.

“Those suspended along with him are Ivura Emmanuel, Ada Imoni Felix, Otugo Gladys, Blessing Monday and Okoro David Enahoro.

“The suspension is due to gross misconduct and breach of oath of office”, the source revealed.
