Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the appointment of Chief Patrick Ukah, as the Director General, Delta State Capital Development Agency.

This was contained in a letter sent to the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) by the governor for approval.

The letter of the governor was read on plenary by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor on Thursday September 7th 2023.

Ukah, a title holder of Akatakpo Eyi 1 of Okpanam Kingdom, served in the immediate past administration of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as Commissioner for Information between 2015 and 2019 before being reappointed as Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in 2019.

And in June 2021, he was appointed Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in the second tenure of same government.

In the various ministries and engine room to government where he held sway, Ukah, brought in renovations that impacted positively on civil servants and Deltans in general.

As former Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, public schools across the State witnessed massive infrastructural development.

Under his supervision, the Headmaster’s and Principal’s Cup completion sponsored by Zenith Bank in partnership with the State government for young talents, was scored high.

No doubt, Chief Ukah, whom Okowa, said he appointed based on competence and loyalty, would transform the agency saddled with the responsibility to promote the physical development of the State Capital Territory as well as tackle its ecological and environmental issues, into a haven.
