The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has sacked all executive officers of its Delta State chapter, a development that has sent shockwaves through the private education sector in the state.

The sweeping action, announced on Monday February 16, 2026, in Asaba during a press conference by the Vice President, South-south, of the association, Dr. Ochuko Akpeme is believed to be connected to unresolved internal disputes and alleged administrative irregularities within the state executive.

While details of the allegations are still emerging, the decision is expected to trigger significant leadership changes within the Delta chapter as the association moves to restore order and confidence among members.

Stakeholders are now awaiting further directives from NAPPS on the constitution of an interim leadership structure to steer the affairs of the body pending the resolution of the crisis or a full blown election.
