As bad blood continues after the general elections in Delta State, the Leader of Ndokwa West Legislative Arm, Hon Ndubuisi Okolofor, has been impeached.
The House equally impeached the Deputy Leader, Azubuike Ejechi.
The duo were removed for offences bothering on gross misconduct and other offences.
It was learnt that the House in its resolutions ordered Mr Ndubuisi to return all council properties in his possession within 48 hours.
Findings revealed that the councilors accused Okolofor and Ejechi of gross misconducts and arbitrary use of office.
They were also accused of betrayal of the House rules, disrespect for the House, segregation of members among others.
Their impeachment followed a collation of signatories of about 15 councilors.
The Secretary of the Local Government (SLG), that was purportedly suspended was asked to resume with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the House elected one Hon. Clement O. as the new Leader while Hon. Kate Okoh Onah, as the new Deputy Leader respectively.
