Ute Kingdom, Delta State Mourns the Loss of a Patriarch
The Ute Kingdom and the people of Delta State have been thrown into mourning following the death of Pa Gilbert Onyemaechi Ibegbulem, fondly known as Pa G.O. Ibegbulem, father of renowned political figure and public servant, Dr. Hilary Obioma Ibegbulem.
The sad news of his passing has sparked a wave of grief and reflection, with many describing his exit as a monumental loss not only to the Ibegbulem family but also to the entire Ute Kingdom and beyond.
Pa Ibegbulem was revered for his wisdom, humility, and contributions to the community.
In a heartfelt statement issued by Comrade Jonathan Obikeze Mathew of Obikeze Media Publication, he expressed deep sorrow over the loss, noting that “Pa G.O. Ibegbulem’s exit is a big loss to us all.”
He further extended condolences to the immediate and extended Ibegbulem family, praying that the Holy Spirit comforts them during this period of mourning.
“We are saddened by the news of the passing of a noble patriarch whose life inspired many. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his children and the countless lives he touched across Delta State,” the statement added.
Pa Ibegbulem’s life was one of purpose, kindness, and unwavering faith. As a father, community leader, and elder statesman, his influence stretched far beyond his hometown, and his memory will remain evergreen in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course by the family.
