In a fresh blow to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), prominent party stalwart London O. Onwuka has officially resigned his membership in Ndokwa east local government area of Delta State.
His departure follows a growing wave of defections, signaling deepening internal challenges within the party.
The resignation of Onwuka, a longstanding member and key figure in the party, is not unconnected to the irreconcilable differences and a lack of cohesion within the PDP may be responsible for his exit.
The letter cited by The Story, was dated January 24, 2025, and was copied to the Chairman, PDP Ward II, Afor/Obikwele.
He said: “I wish to do this letter to inform you of my decision to resign my membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
*In view of the above, I hereby tender my resignation as a member of the People’s Democratic Party with effect from 24th January 2025”.
He appreciated the party for the time spent.
