Former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Comrade Chief Ovuoziorie Macaulay, has resigned membership of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), The Story can authoritatively report.
The letter dated 3rd March 2023, was copied to the Chairman of PDP Ward 5, Owelogbo and was received by Hon. Ulebe Benedict E., on Saturday 5th 2023.
According to the former Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Delta State Chapters, he dumped the party due to impunity, blackmail, falsehood and misdemeanor of the party leadership.
Said he: “I wish to humbly tender my letter of resignation from the membership of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 5, Ovwologbo, Isoko north local government area of Delta State with immediate effect.
“My decision to resign my membership of the PDP is based on the overt exhibition of impunity, blackmail, falsehood and disregard for party rules by the leadership.
“Over the past years, I painfully endured the arrogance and misdemeanor of the party leadership and actually appealed for a change to no avail.
“Thus, I am left with no choice but to bow out of the party” he revealed.
