Unless security agencies wade into the ongoing attacks on an Epkan youth in Uvwie, Udu local government area and Olomu in Ughelli south local government area of Delta State, Mr Stephen Akemu, there might be free flow of blood during the festive season.
The warning was dropped on a Facebook page, with the name Ekpan Development Committee Council, following an attack on Akemu, by yet to be identified assailants.
According to the post, “at about 12noon today some youths attacked Mr Stephen Akemu (E.D.C chairman) at his wife store in Nigercat junction, destroyed his car and other valuables.
The post alleged that the “Uvwie local government chairman Mr Ramson T Onoyake (who unjustly used his position as local government chairman to dissolve E.D.C led by Mr Stephen Akemu) ordered them to chase Mr Stephen Akemu out of Ekpan anytime he try to come around, because he heard that Mr Stephen Akemu was being celebrated after the last court day.
“As at this evening one of the boys involved has been apprehended by the police while others are on the run”, pleading for continue prayer for Mr Stephen Akemu.
In another post, Olomu indigenes warned that Mr. Akemu, is also from the town and not Uvwie alone.
“Ekpan people you should know Stephen Akemu ASTONE is not From Ekpan alone There are too many attempts on his life now we his people in olomu kingdom are watching I hereby call on the state government to look into the matter for life has no duplicate. The lawlessness in uvwie is now very alarming”, the post added.
