BLACK FRIDAY: Trailer Driver Dismembers Commuter In Delta

An unidentified man has been crushed to death by a hit and run trailer driver, otherwise known as long vehicle in the ever busy Asaba-Onitsha expressway, by Koka Junction, Asaba, Oshimili south local government area of Delta State.

Trouble started in the morning of the nation’s Independent Day Celebration, Friday October 1st 2021, when the deceased was said to be crossing the road from the Ibusa end of Koka Junction to the other side when the reckless trailer driver crushed and dismembered his body.

It was gathered that the trailer driver pieced the man after he crushed him and escaped with his vehicle.

A motorcycle operator also known as Okada, said: “the man was crossing the road when the trailer driver who is coming from the Onitsha end rammed into him.

“The trailer driver pieced the man. He escaped from the scene with his trailer”, disclosing that personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), came to evacuate the remains.

“It was the men of the road safety that came to gather the pieces of the body that was scattered due to the degree of the accident and evacuated it”.

Meanwhile, the long awaited flyover which Deltans and other residents have clamoured for over the years, is just in its preliminary stage by the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration.

Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, confirmed the accident.
