Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has assured his constituents that the creation of Anioma State as Nigeria’s 37th state is only a matter of time.

The senator gave the assurance yesterday while hosting leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Idumuje Ward 8, Aniocha North Local Government Area, at Mount Ned Resort, Idumuje-Ugboko.

Addressing the gathering, Senator Nwoko noted that Anioma had met all the constitutional requirements for state creation and emphasized that preparations for a referendum were already underway.

He further revealed that President Bola Tinubu’s administration, alongside key stakeholders and socio-cultural groups across the country, remained committed to the actualization of Anioma State.

“I am confident Anioma State will come to reality. It is no longer a question of if, but when,” he assured.

The lawmaker, who is the first senator from Idumuje clan and Aniocha North, expressed gratitude to his kinsmen for their support and reaffirmed his dedication to serving the best interests of Delta North.

Highlighting his achievements, Senator Nwoko said he had provided critical social infrastructure and empowerment initiatives since assuming office.

He also encouraged parents and guardians within Ward 8 and across Delta North to take advantage of his scholarship programme at the Sports University, Idumuje-Ugboko, where he serves as Chancellor.

He reiterated his commitment to human capital development, stressing that education remains the bedrock of a better future for the Anioma people.
