Aniagwu Commends Oborevwori’s Style Of Governance

Delta State Commissioner for Works, Rural and Riverine, Mr. Charles Aniagwu has commended the State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for continuing with projects initiated by the government of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Mr. Aniagwu, also thanked the governor for equally initiating new projects across the three senatorial districts of the State that are of benefit to Deltans.

Aniagwu, stated this when he played host to members of Indigenous Correspondents’ Chapel (ICC), during a courtesy visit at his office in Asaba, the State capital recently.

He scored the Oborevwori-led administration high for embarking on road infrastructure to connect the rural and Riverine communities to the urban cities.

He said: “Don’t forget, it is a transitory government that took over from another government that is both at the same time carry on with his on projects whilst at the same time continuing with projects that were inherited.

“This administration has done quite well. Oborevwori, I can tell you have paid so much money towards the completion of ongoing projects even as we also awarding new projects.

“Of course, that is in line with the promise he made whilst he was being sworn in at the Stephen Keshi Stadium”, assuring that the government has no plans to abandon any project.

Meanwhile, the Works Commissioner has hinted that the essence of visiting and inspecting projects by the ministry, was to ensure that the contractors are working according to specification.
