Asiwaju Sola Adebayo, a renowned cum veteran journalist and successful businessman on Saturday stormed Asaba, the Delta State Capital to attend the 40th birthday anniversary and unveiling of a book titled “Beyond the paycheck”, by Dr. (Mrs.) Ufuoma Ohwofaria Akpobire.
Asiwaju Adebayo, known for his philanthropic gesture, was accompanied by the State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, Secretary, Comrade Victor Sorokwu.and the Assistant Secretary, Comrade Mrs. Josephine Omodior.
Others in his entourage are the Chairmen, State Information Chapel and Indigenous Correspondents’ Chapels, Comrade Kenneth Obieh and Kenneth Orusi amongst others who joined him at the event.
The business tycoon cum patron of the Union was received at Vienna Hotel by the husband of the celebrant ,Comrade Michael Akpobire , who happens to be his bosom friend, and others who escorted him into the hall.
Similarly, former Chairman of Oshimili South local government area, Comrade Uche Osadebe, former Executive Secretary, Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Comrade Ologe Elijah, and a host of others were in attendance.
The birthday anniversary and unveiling of the book, saw hundreds of dignitaries.
