The Asaba Chapter of the Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association has formally endorsed Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for a second term in office, following a unanimous vote of confidence passed in his administration.
The resolution was adopted during the Association’s monthly meeting held on March 4, 2026, at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Head of Service in Asaba.
The motion was moved by former National President of the Association, Mr. Karo Ovemeso, and seconded by Mr. Olisemedua Eboka, receiving overwhelming support from members present.
Presiding over the meeting, the
Asaba Chapter Chairman, Vincent Ohwofadjeke, ratified the endorsement, commending Governor Oborevwori for what he described as impactful and result-driven governance that has elevated the image of Ambrose Alli University.
Ohwofadjeke noted that the Governor’s administration has remained faithful to its MORE Agenda, translating campaign promises into tangible development outcomes across the state.
According to him, the scale of infrastructural and socio-economic progress recorded under the current administration justifies the call for continuity.
He further emphasized that the Governor, as an alumnus of the institution, embodies the values of excellence and leadership instilled by the university, adding that his performance has made the institution proud.
“Given the verifiable achievements on ground, it is evident that Governor Oborevwori has not only met expectations but surpassed them, making a compelling case for a second tenure,” he stated.
The Chairman also affirmed the Association’s readiness to mobilise grassroots support for the Governor’s re-election, pledging a collective commitment to sustaining the momentum of development.
Also speaking, the Association’s Public Relations Officer, Ogochukwu Aduba, highlighted the far-reaching impact of the administration’s policies, noting that communities across Delta State have witnessed significant transformation.
He described the Governor’s leadership as visionary and people-focused, adding that the endorsement reflects a deliberate and well-considered decision by the Association.
Aduba further remarked that Governor Oborevwori’s performance has reinforced the reputation of Ambrose Alli University as a breeding ground for quality leadership, stressing that the Association remains committed to supporting one of its own who has demonstrated exceptional capacity in public service.
The endorsement, he added, signals a broader resolve among members to rally support for the Governor’s continued leadership beyond 2027
