UPDATE: Road Safety Gives Insight Into Road Crash that Dismembered Man In Delta

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corp Udeme Bassey Eshiet, has given the true position of the fatal accident that cuts the body of an unidentified man into two along Ibusa road, Oshimili north local government area of Delta State.

He said contrary to reports that a car was set ablaze after its occupant hits the man and ran away, the deceased was actually going to watch another accident scene, when he met his untimely death.

According to him, a car rammed into an electric pool standing on the middle of the road and went aflame.

He disclosed that the man was knocked down by another car on speed while crossing the road to view that car that ran into an electric pool.

His words: “I got to the place, I saw the guy, the guy was about crossing the road, a vehicle ran him down.

“There was a vehicle that crashed into an electric pool on the middle of the road and got fire.

“That guy that was hit, was hit by another vehicle that ran away.

“That vehicle was coming on speed. So, this guy was crossing the road to go and watch what was happening, that was how he was knocked down”, the road safety expert said.

It would be recall that a middle aged man was yesterday reportedly killed by a suspected yahoo guy who was on high speed opposite the Federal College of Education (Technical), Ibusa road end of Asaba, the State capital.

It would be recall also that The Story, had reported that, at press time, calls put across to the State Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corp Udeme Bassey Eshiet and the PRO, Victoria were ignored.
