2024 LGA ELECTIONS: Prince Takerere Rolls Out Plans To Modernize Udu Council Area

As the race for the third tires of government hots up in Delta State, an aspirant, Prince Eric Ighowho Takerere, from Udu Ward 9, has declared his intention to contest for the Chairmanship position of Udu local government council in 2024 under the platform of ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Prince Takerere made the declaration when he consulted, Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor, Special Adviser to Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of the State on Government Affairs at his Residence.

The Son of of Okaka II, of Orhuwhorun told the two term member of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), who represented Udu in the 6th and 7th Assembly that he joined the Chairmanship race in order to develop Udu.

He said that his plan is to modernise Udu, assuring the Special Adviser that he would fix bad roads, build more health centres and equip existing ones, create conducive environment for teaching and learning in government schools.

He also said he would open skill acquisition centre for Udu youths with monthly empowerment for men and women in the local area among others.

His words: “My plan of contesting for the position of Udu Local Government Chairman is to modernise Udu. I will fix all the bad roads in Udu, build more health centres and equip the existing ones, create conducive environment for teaching and learning in government schools.

“I will also open skill acquisition centre for Udu youths with monthly empowerment for men and women in the local government area”.
