The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), KAFTAN TV and presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo said he would ensure more accountability in Nigeria’s security agencies when he is elected president in 2023.

Addressing a mammoth crowd of
interdenominational worshippers under the platform of Hon. Kenneth Gbagi/SDP Presidential Prayer and Town Hall Meeting, the renowned lawyer also disclosed that he would work to improve the morale of servicemen and women.

He said: “People must be held responsible. Then we must improve the morale of men in uniform to ensure what needs to be done.

“So what I we do is to make sure that as the Commander in Chief when I become president, I am the number one soldier in Nigeria, I will take control of the arm forces and put in the hands of competent and patriotic soldiers.

“I will stop the big ships coming to steal the Nigerian oil and you will see that the Nigerian economy will grow massively.

“We must bring in technology. It is embarrassing in today’s world in a country like Nigeria; we are still battling things like kidnapping also known as unknown gunmen, Boko Haram, Banditry, economy piracy, (oil theft)” he said.

He declared that there has been no accountability by the nation’s leadership and management of agencies “and that says a lot”.

The youngest presidential candidate in the 2023 election said the problem of insecurity continued “because the Buhari’s government is making money from it and making them to continue. So, the government has betrayed the people”.

Similarly, Adebayo, at the Palace of Obi (Prof.) Chike Edozien, the Asagba of Asaba, said the Social Democratic Party, when they have formed government in 2023, “we will do what is just and what is fair”.

He noted that Nigeria requires young and fresh leadership, assuring that he was in the best position to provide solutions.

“we should learn from the elders but we should use the energy and vigour of the youth to run the country. When you look at where we are as a country, we are not going in the right direction. It requires fresh leadership”, he said.

He assured that under his administration, the country would have a decent government, “just as the government you had in your days. There was more integrity in the District Officers at that time than the governor and president now.

“We will give truth and justice and you will see this land develop, you will see your people prosper and you will see everything change in this country and you will see that the country you dreamed of as a young man will come to pass while you are still on the throne.

In same vain, addressing journalists shortly after the Commissioning of the SDP Presidential Campaign Secretariat in Asaba, the SDP Presidential candidate, Adebayo, who displayed high capacity of wisdom said “If there is any strike of ASUU, from the day I am being sworn-in as the president of Nigeria, ASUU strike will end at Eagles Square.

“I will not take that oath of office and leave that place unless ASUU stands with me there and end the strike because it is a problem that shouldn’t occur.

“In our time both at the federal and in Delta State, education money will not be under the ministry of education. Education money will be under an independent trust.

“If Kenneth Gbagi was not running for governor, he will be one of those who will be an accountable trustees of the Education Trust Fund.

“We will put prominent people in the society who have seen it all, who are not thieves, who will now keep that money and release the money to the governing council of the universities”, he said.
