For recklessly attacking the greatest patriot of Urhobo nation as it is today, His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, FNIM and his party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Gbagi Governorship Campaign Council, has hit harder at the Spokesperson of the Campaign Council of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), in Delta State, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, a self-aggrandized person probably suffering from diarrhea of the mouth.
The Gbagi/SDP Campaign Council, described Latimore and PDP as a “broken and non-serious”, party and an individual.
The Gbagi Campaign Council on Friday January 27th 2023, threw the salvo in a reaction to what it described as a careless attempt by Latomore, to drag the name of its principal to the mud when in reality, Latimore, an infidel, not worthy to be one of Gbagi’s gatemen, opened his uncontrollable mouth in an undisclosed Radio station to display his ignorance.
It is laughable because the writeup as credited to him (Latimore) did not state the name of the Radio Station and the kind of programme aired where the inconsistent Latimore, showcased his ignorance.
Ordinarily, Gbagi and the SDP would have ignored the hunger driven misplaced outburst of Latimore, who is simply trying to use the name of the internationally recognized SDP governorship candidate to get cheap popularity but a lie told severally if not rebuffed becomes a truth.
His claim that the SDP ultramodern Secretariat was perpetually locked, is untrue, as the Secretariat along Anwai Road, is fully equipped for use by the South-South Vice Chairman of the party, Elder Fred Owotorofa, a well known legal luminary who coordinates the activities of the party in the state and other South-South states ahead of the general elections.
Gbagi, being a full grown politician with national relevance was prompted to take up the responsibility to liberate Delta State from PDP years of misrule that plunged Deltans into untold hardship and suffering. Same reason he withdrew from the PDP governorship primary to pursue his ambition under the SDP.
As to whether Gbagi, would win his Oginibo Ward, let it be made known that Oginibo, the country home of the largest private investor in the State, has come to see development because of Gbagi, who attracted power supply, road infrastructure, Federal Girl’s College, Hospital and lots more to the community, an achievement the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led PDP government could not attain in seven and half years with government resources.
Many uninformed, like Latimore, see Gbagi, a criminologist, entrepreneur, lawyer and philanthropist as arrogant and self-centered. But the truth is that his self-confidence, which they mistake for egotism, has its root in his upbringing and discipline from a strict disciplinarian father, Robinson Gbagi of blessed memory.
It is only people like Latimore, that see Gbagi, as such because they lack discipline. Latimore lacked a disciplinarian father who could not teach him the values of life and his romance with the PDP further compound his woes as he imbibed all the negative traits of the party.
Gbagi came into limelight between
1993 and 1994 when the then governor of the state, Colonel Bassey Asuquo, who knew the resourcefulness of Gbagi pleaded and appointed him Chairman of Delta Development and Property Authority, DDPA.
Gbagi, a security expert and instructor, taught many top military officers, both serving and retired at the time, and Asuquo was convinced that as Chairman of DDPA, he would clip the overindulgences of senior military officers from Edo State, where he was later posted to, notably the late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, the next to former Head of State, the late General Sani Abacha, and others from shortchanging Delta in the sharing of assets.
No wonder the Asagba of Asaba, Obi (Prof) Chike Endozien, said: “Gbagi, here, is our son. We have worked for years. We know him well and we trust him”, the monarch toannounced when Gbagi, visited him last year in his Palace.
Gbagi spoke so much of Okowa, while he was then blindfolded by Okowa in PDP but like the Biblical saying that, “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord …” as recorded in Isaiah 6:1.
This could be translated to mean that the year Gbagi left PDP, he saw Okowa as a man that “lies with perfidy”. This made him to come out publicly to tell the entire world, particularly Deltans, that all that he believed initially, were the lies Okowa told him.
Hear him: “But I believed that the man who has lived his life up to the extend that he has lived, what could be so important for him to keep lying and in any case what could lies do for any sensible person and the consequences of his lies, thinking that he is wise is staring at him today, Okowa, is an empty person.
“Okowa, no longer have anybody, he thought he was smart. Three of you can come, Okowa, will tell the three persons three different lies on the same issue.
“And he comes with a mien that you don’t believe that, th man could be a liar. That is why I told him that he lies with perfidy.
“All that I believed about him, was what he told me. I believed him! The last day I left PDP when he lied, I got to government house that day, we had agreed to meet the day earlier.
“Okowa had told me 700 times that Gbagi, you are the only one that can solve the problem of Delta and that I will hand over to you.
“He had told people, those of you who knows Fred Ajudua, he sent him to come here to meet me, he told the chairman of the party to come and meet me, all of that, I didn’t know that he was lying. I worked and campaign with my mind”, he stated.
Even the late father of the Okowa, the Okpala-Uku of Owa-Aleiro Kingdom in Ika north east local government area of the State, Pa. Arthur Okorie Okowa, adopted Gbagi as his son before he died, making Gbagi, most desirous by all to govern Delta State.
Gbagi is not unmindful of the plans of the current government to run down Signatious Hotel, as Okowa, sponsored and used the then Attorney General of the State, Peter Mrakpor, to arrange naked women and a young man just to rubbish the sterling image of Gbagi, a slur that failed.
Signatious Hotel is a center of activity coupled with Light House Cinema been operated by expatriates. These two companies alone can feed the entire generations of Latimore and his paymaster if they decide not to work for life let alone other Gbagi conglomerates within the state, Lagos, Abuja and London and many other places.
Gbagi’s petrol stations across the State are functioning optimally. In fact, on Tuesday January 17th 2023, one of his petrol stations, Falcon Bay Energy, in Oginibo, doled out free fuel to transporters to cushion the effect of Okowa’s poor governance.
Gbagi created 13 Universities, including Federal University of Lafia and Federal University of Petroleum (FUPRE), eight Federal Government Colleges,16 Colleges of Education and 14 Polytechnic, this man, Gbagi, should be called a genius.
Gbagi rebuilt and equipped and ICT center in Urhobo College, donated N10 million to Government College, Ughelli and as minister of state for Education, rebuilt Federal Government College, Warri. Verified!
Though, these schools are not in Olorogun Gbagi’s schedule, he showed commitment aimed at ensuring that they exist and function. Verified!
He fought against the relocation of PTI from Warri to Kaduna State.
Recall that there is a gentle minister for Petroleum called Rilwanu Lukman, said the College that was related to petroleum should be relocated
Thirty-two days after Gbagi became a minister, he founded FUPRE, Federal University of Petroleum Resources in Ugbomro.
Obasanjo gave them N1 billion to them to go and setup a College because they have created the state but there were no document. That was why Rilwanu Lukman was making that statement to say they should relocate the school.
But thank God, 32 days later Gbagi took a memo to council, where he got approval for the Petroleum University to be established.
If you check the record that created that university, you will not see Kenneth Gbagi, as the owner or person who founded the University including the other 12. In memo to council, you do not put your full names but what you will see there is KOG, he founded the University.

Latimore, visibly with short memory, should be reminded that Okowa, climbed to governorship with the church and after which he abandoned them. That is not to say Gbagi, is toeing that shameless path. May I refer Latimore, who seems like a half baked graduate to Vanguard Newspaper of January 25th 2019, where the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) endorsed Okowa.
The Church has realized that the Okowa-led administration is bereft of ideas and have opened their doors widely for Gbagi, to speak to them of his plans to liberate Delta State.
Hence, the Bishop of Oleh Diocese (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev’d John Usiwoma Aruakpor, said during Isoko North Pastors Forum that: “The thing we complain about, is character of Christ that is lacking. When you say you are the light and God is light, it is because we are created in his image and the likeness of God.
“So, we need people of character, competence and people that can rule our nation that we can call upon and say to them that what you are doing is not right and he will change and if he does not change, the next election, we vote him out.
“And we can tell you that the church is in number that can stand and do something and things will change and so I trust that this time around that we are moving out of our sober, we will know how to use our voting right to correct the evil and the things that have not been done well. May the good Lord help us to do it right in Jesus name”, he prayed.
Also, the Bishop of Ughelli Diocese (Anglican Communion) and Archbishop of Bendel Province, Rt. Rev’d Cyril Odiboghene Odutemu, said, “Gbagi will do what he says”. A few just to mention.
On Wednesday January 4th 2023, at the Prayer Convocation of Ughelli Diocese (Anglican Communion), held at Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGG), it was not different, as the former minister of State for education, Olorogun Gbagi FNIM, donated and redeemed a whooping sum of N10 million towards the construction of a stadium for the hosting of the annual Prayer Convocation organized by the Diocese.
Hear him: “Gbagi promised and he has fulfilled his promise, that means, he will do what he says. Anybody who can deceive the church, will never fulfill any promise to the state.
“I will not hide anything from you, we said that we will announce to the people, that the Holy Spirit must guide you to vote rightly. We will not mislead you, God will guide your hearts so that where you put your votes, you will not regret it”.
Again, it is laughable for Latimore, to say that Sheriff Oborevwori, would retire Gbagi, a man Okowa, Mrakpor, Uduaghan couldn’t retire.
Oborevwori, who is embattled with alleged certificate forgery, discrepancies in his names, stealing among other atrocities would retire a sound lawyer, renowned Criminologist and the first black African to become an AKS member of Rotary International to donate $250, 000 to charity?
As for Gbagi’s son whom Latimore mentioned, let me state unequivocally that Gbagi’s son would not leave his father for a “Houseboy”, who he (Gbagi’s son) knows is not up to his younger brothers who are studying law in the university.
Also worthy of mentioning, is the ridiculous statement that Gbagi has no Director General in charge of the Campaign. While I agree that silence is the best answer for a fool such as Latimore, the Gbagi Campaign Council, has a renowned Professor, Prof. Jiff Mokobia and a 37 years old friend of the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, (HRM) Mike Omeru, OGU-RIME-RIME, Ukori I, (JP).
The king attested to the fact that Prof. Mokobia, was the brightest while they were in school many years ago. Latimore, should go for knowledge by making good academic researches before fooling himself.
The entire Church bloc, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Organization of Africa Instituted Churches (OAIC), Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), where his (Gbagi’s) father Robinson Gbagi, held sway.
A man who fought tooth and nail to get Urhobo endorsement for Okowa and also gave Okowa money in 2015 to run election when he (Okowa) virtually had nothing.
Latimore, is truly mentally derailed and need the help of a Psychiatrist. Latimore, was virtually all over Gbagi, untill he secured his appointment and reapportionment after he was sacked over his outburst on Okowa and his information managers, which birthed “Tribal bigots”.
Fred Latimore, has forgotten so soon! Merely because his existence is at the mercy of Okowa.
