2023: Exodus Defection Hits APGA, as Members Decamp To SDP In Delta

Forty-one days to the governorship election in Delta State, mass defection has hit the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as scores of its members across the State defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

A serial and perennial governorship contender, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, is the flagbearer of APGA in Delta for the 2023 election.

The governorship candidate has been accused of coming every election season to collect monies from people but refuses to spend the monies, he then runaway with it & come back only for another election each time.

His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, FNIM, a Criminologist, entrepreneur, lawyer and philanthropist, is the leading governorship candidate under the auspices of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

The SDP standard bearer, is the only none government official in the race with a personnel of the Department of State Security (DSS) attached to him. Others do not.

Again, the former minister of state for education, with so much achievements during his time, is the first Ughelli south politician, industrialist and philanthropist to get the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) National Award and Honours conferred on him by president Muhammadu Buhari, a well-known fact.

The APGA defectors said they could no longer tolerate what they described as the insincerity of the leaders of APGA, especially the way the party’s primary elections were conducted.

They said Deltans have equally reject APGA as a political party, describing it as a biafran party and not for Deltans.

They therefore, decided to pitch tent with the most credible party with a governorship candidate who has clean records. He is free from harassment of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offence
Commission (ICPC), the entire security architecture of the country and foreign nations during to his integrity and impeccable character.
