Throughout history, as the head of the nation, a king takes all the major and best decisions for the country’s welfare.
This was the hallmark of Saturday’s August 20th 2022, meeting between Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the His Royal Majesty (HRM), Anthony William Ovrawah Omagha I, the Odion-Ologbo of Oleh Kingdom, Isoko south local government area of Delta State.
The king like Jacob of the Bible days, opened his heart and poured prayers on the Ondo-born Prince and son-in-law to the Isoko Nation who has laid down his life to serve Nigeria and Nigerians.
The revered traditional ruler emptied his bowels on the founder of KAFTAN TV, whose media company has trained over 1,036 corps members across its three stations in Ondo State, Lagos State and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The king who has spent 28 years on the throne, received the youthful presidential candidate, Prince Adebayo and his entourage in the palace, prayed for his success at the polls.
Adebayo who has created human resources that have helped, had gone to the palace to seek royal blessings and guidance in his quest to become Nigeria’s next president.
His royal majesty charged the politician who has been successful in bringing thousands of young people out of the unemployment line, training them in broadcasting skills, and producing high-caliber professionals, to remain focus on the race and to go and get his mandate to represent the people.
In his prayers, the King who doubles as the Chairman, Isoko Traditional Rulers Council said: “I wish you well; I pray that your political ambition would come to pass with long life and prosperity. I pray that all obstacles from outside and within will not overcome you”.
The monarch who is equally the Patron, Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), continued: “All the prayers, God have heard. I agree with you that God brought you. My prayers will follow you. Your heart desires will follow you. May God give you the power to do what you wish for Nigeria.
“Your blessings will follow you home, your blessings will come from the hand of God. May it be well with you, may God give you life. The presidential seat you are seeking, may God give it to you.
“All what we have said today, let God give them to you. Forward ever, backwards never. God will do it for you. May it be well with you. May the leadership of Nigeria come to you. That is what you want and so shall it be”, he declared.
He commended the courage and the political energy Adebayo had thus far brought to his quest, urging him to remain politically persistent, as that was the only way to prove his mettle at the polls.
Speaking earlier, Adebayo told the Oleh monarch of his root as an indigenous person from Ondo, and that he had come to pay homage, to also brief his royal majesty on his efforts thus far and to seek for guidance.
Adebayo, said that he had also come to the king so that the interest of the South would also be effectively taken care of.
He noted that his administration would ensure that the common patrimony of the people are not looted, “When I am president, the wealth of the people will be for them. If you want to be president or governor, this land doesn’t need something new. Just use what they have.
He said his administration would turn Nigeria, to a tourist attraction that would cause foreigner the desire to visit the country, “In the time of our government, Your Majesty, it is the Queen of England, that will write letters to you for their people to work in your land.
“I want you to have confidence that when you hear that we have been elected, the center of the world has come to us. We will use Nigeria’s money to take care of Nigerians” pointing out that the country lacks nothing.
Among those in Adebayo’s entourage are the former minister of Sports and Youth Development,
Solomon Dalung, Sen Ugochukwu Uba, Hon , Godwin Osigbeme Abdullahi Adamu Musa and Chief Godwin Osigbeme APCO.
Earlier, the team had been entertained to rich Urhobo cultural displays by a dance troupe at the airport and at the compound of Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi.
Gbagi, was accompanied by the State Chairman of the party, Ambassador Oke Idawene JP, LGA, Ward Chairmen, Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates under the platform of SDP.
