A former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 2/6, Engr. Adebayo Henry Modupe, said that APC and the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Delta State are dead parties.

Engr. Modupe made the declaration
on Saturday December 31st 2022, when he led a mammoth crowd of defectors from APC and PDP covering Otovwodo, Otor-Iwhreko and Pipeline, the biggest ward with 91 units in Ughelli north local government area of the state.

Engr. Modupe, who spoke on behalf of the defectors said that, he and his colleagues left APC and PDP due to the injustices done to many members of their parties by some selfish persons who do not have the love and interest of the parties at heart.

He disclosed that APC and PDP used the power at their disposal to muzzle weak members by disenfranchising them through open abuse of power.

“It is a shame, there is nothing to show and nothing to tell people of Delta state during campaigns”, he said.

According to him, “we are tired of working for APC and PDP without getting anything to show for it. There is no life in APC an PDP.

“They only call us to come and work and after work, they dump us and we have nothing to show.

“APC and PDP have failed us. The youths, women and men worked for these parties but they have failed us.

“APC has proven to be worse than PDP. They are dead parties and if anyone thinks they will change for good, such a person is either deceiving himself or being mischievous.

“We have been working for so many years but we discovered that there is no life in APC and PDP but when it comes to SDP, the symbol is life.

“Even Jesus Christ himself recognize that. We have come to pitch our tents with SDP and we want to work with Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, of SDP come 2023”, he said.
