The African Democratic Congress (ADC), has adopted the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and its gubernatorial candidate in Delta State, His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, FNIM, as its alternative to wrestle power from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2023 elections.
The party equally disclosed that it refused to pitch tent with the All Progressives Congress (APC), so that the party (APC), would not import the suffering it placed on Nigerians at the centre to the state.
The decision was taken on Saturday January 28th 2023 in Warri, by the party after a careful evaluation and scrutiny of SDP and the governorship candidate whose pedigree, they discovered is second to none.
Their reason was that both the PDP and the APC should be blamed for the economic hardship facing the State, where PDP is holding sway and Nigeria, where APC is in control.
They added that the two political parties have mortgaged the lives of present and forthcoming generations.
