Speaking with an Ika Mirror reporter on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Agbor-Obi in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Mary Nwaneje who visited the area claimed that her lover told her that he was from Agbor before leaving them without any notification, declaring that she didn’t know the reason for his absconding.

According to her, “My name is Mary Nwaneje. I’m from Nsianga Local Government Area of Abia State. I came to Agbor to look for the father of my children. His name is Daniel Onyagwu-Ibe but his brothers know him as Monday Onyagwu-Ibe”.

“We didn’t have any issue before leaving the house neither did he tell anybody his whereabouts. I just came back from work and I did not find him at home. I have two children for him.

“The name of the first son is Emeka and the second born is Favour. Favour is about to travel out and we need his father to sign some documents for him. Secondly, his children want to know their father and where they are from”.

“As at the time, we were together, he told me that he is from Agbor. I came here with him when my first son was a toddler. This should have been 21 years ago.

“I could remember that the first time we came to Agbor, we stopped at Uromi junction and we took a bike to where the child was treated but I can’t remember the exact place now”.

“We have searched all social media but all to no avail. I have gone to Zenith Bank in Lagos, where he was working before but they couldn’t trace him.

“I have reported his missing case to police both in Lagos and Abia States respectively but they have not come up with anything.

“I never believed that he could leave me because of the love that existed between us. We have waited for him to come back but he didn’t show up. This is why we came looking for him”.

On his part, the second son, Master Favour expressed dissatisfaction over the inability to know his father, stressing that he longs to see his dad.

“It is not easy growing up without a father when we have one. I love to see my dad and know my origin”, he stated.

They, therefore appealed to the general public to notify them if they see him, any of his family members, or any information that could help them to locate him with the following number: 09069216334.
