Vigilante Group Arrests Robbery Suspect In Delta

Operatives of BONSAAC Vigilante group have arrested a 28-year-old suspected robber identified as Ogochukwu Uzorka.

It was gathered that Uzorka, hails from Abala, Ndokwa east local government area of Delta State.

The suspects, who was alleged specialized in breaking and entering, has regretted his actions.

It was gathered that Uzorka breaks into peoples shops through the ceiling.

He allegedly succeeded in breaking into five shops, but was disappointed when he discovered there was a burglary proof under the ceiling of the four of the shops.

He however succeeded in gaining access into the fifth Shop where there is no burglary andf stole rechargeable lamps, before the vigilante group swoop on him .

The suspect who confessed stealing a tiger electricity generator in the past said he sold the generator set to Arewa boys who deal on scraps for N15,000.

He disclosed that he was in search of bag of rice to eat, before he met his waterloo.

He disclosed that he is a fowl butcher at the popular Oko market in Oshimili south local government of the state.

He appeal for forgiveness, and pledged never to return to crime if granted forgiveness.

Mr. Francis Okolo commended the police for giving them the privilege to work with them, and also lauded some residents who have in one way or the other appreciated their efforts.

And urged those still seating on the fence to apply the reverse gear, and see reasons to support the efforts of the vigilante.

While calling on residents for assistance, he pleaded with the police to help call the recalcitrant residents to order.

He submitted that the issue of logistics and mobility has remained a set back to the successful policing of the area, pointing out that ever since their mobility motorcycle was set ablaze by the Arewa Boys, mobility has been difficult for them.

SMS sent to the Delta state police image maker, SP Bright Edafe was yet to be responded to, as at the time of this report.
