Some security operatives have been allegedly ambushed by unknown gunmen along Issele-Azagba, Aniocha north local government area of Delta State.
A post on Wong Box, a Facebook page, disclosed that there were heavy gun shots.
According to the post, “Unknown gunmen attacks security men along Highway by Isele Azagba with heavy gun shots.
“Some security men killed, others escaped”
A Facebook user, Mulolu Greg, who commented on Wong Box post said: “It happend few minutes ago am a leaving witness”.
It was gathered that a Custom Van was set ablaze by the hoodlums.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, who confirmed the attack said, the armed robbers shot at the vigilante group but they quickly took cover, stressing that no desth was recorded.
“They attacked vigilante men but the vigilante quickly took cover. Nobody died” the image maker explained.
