At least three more persons have been murdered in a renewed land crisis between Owawha and Okwagbe communities of Ughelli south local government area of Delta State.

Trouble started again on Saturday October 30th 2021, as Owawha indigenes laid siege on Okwagbe community members in a fresh clash.

It was gathered that three were killed while one was purportedly whisked away by Owawha indigenes.

Sources said out of the three allegedly killed, the head of one was cut off and taken away alongside with the kidnapped victim.

It would be recall that there was palpable tension in Delta Communities of Owawha and Okwagbe, as fresh land dispute between the two communities claimed five lives.

It was learnt that Okwagbe and Otutuama are grand children of Ughievwen, sons of same father, who have now resorted to the killing each other.

Meanwhile, the member representing Ughelli south local government area in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Reuben Izeze and Dr. Richard Kofi, Chairman of the council, have been called upon to immediately wade into the crisis with a view of ending the land dispute.

While Kofi, is the Chief Security Officer of the Council, Izeze, is the the lawmaker representing the warring constituents left to their fate.

The recent killing raised the number of deaths to eight in Okwagbe and one in Owawha.
