The suspected yahoo boy, Mr. Ogbolu, crushed the bus driver, Omonogor, to death after trailing him from Asaba, where the incident occurred to Ibusa, Oshimili north local government area of Delta State.
The yahoo boy who is an indigene of Ibusa, is popularly known in the Community, is currently at large after playing a smart one on the police.
It was gathered that the occupants of the yahoo boy’s car were up to three when the incident occurred as they pounced on him before trailing him to Ibusa, where he was finally crushed to death.
It was gathered that the deceased a father of six children is from Kwale, Ndokwa west local government area but resides in Ibusa, with his family.
But the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, purportedly told reporters that the suspected yahoo boy had not been nabbed.
The police image maker had earlier told The Story, in a recorded telephone conversation after confirming the incidence that the culprit has been arrested.
Hear her: “Yes now, yes, he has been arrested”, promising to send the details of the name of the suspect after settling down when The Story, requested for the name, “Let me settle down, I will send it to you”, she said.
Meanwhile, bus drivers plying Ibuza-Ogwashi-Uku route have gone on strike in solidarity for the murdered colleague.
A bus driver who simply identified himself as Emeka, said the drivers in protest took their buses off the road.
“Any bus driver loading into Ibusa and Ogwashi-Uku is doing that at his own risk because the drivers are angry with what happened to one of them”, he narrated.
At the popular Koka Junction and Kwale park, passengers were seen this evening using tricycle as the next option to transport home.
It would be recall that The Story, had earlier reported that a suspected yahoo boy crushed a repentant bus driver to death for scratching his car.
