THE STORY UPDATE: Real Reason Behind Ufuoma, Matilda’s Deaths In Delta Community

Facts have emerged on what actually led to the deaths of Ufuoma and Matilda Atidja, the two lover birds who died in Sapele, the administrative headquarter of Sapele local government area of Delta State.

Ufuoma and Matilda, reportedly returned from a night outing on Thursday and were found dead in their apartment on Friday by curious neighbours who believed to be from food poisoning.

It was learnt that Matilda, a girlfriend of Ufuoma, was overtaken by jealousy over an alleged pregnancy from another woman and allegedly got him (Ufuoma) poisoned.

After their deaths, it was reported that the deceaseds died of food poisoning or generator fume.

Unconfirmed sources said signs of wounds were discovered on parts of Ufuoma’s body, as Matilda has allegedly threatened to take his life when news of another woman getting pregnant for him filtered into town.

It was learnt that Matilda as at on Friday was still alive as some said she was the one who opened their door and was seen with his younger brother who was living with them.

It was gathered that she purportedly took her life later that day by taking a poisonous substance after allegedly killing Ufuoma out of jealousy.

Earlier, when The Story contacted the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, through a text, it was not responded to.

It would be recall that The Story, had earlier reported that two lover birds were found dead in their apartment in Amukpe, Sapele local government area of the state.
