The Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Edafe Bright, told The Story, that the “evil genius” whose identity was yet to e disclosed was apprehended in the community later that same day.
He disclosed that the assailants who carried out the dastardly act were from the community, insisting that they were not members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) neither are Fulani herdsmen.
He revealed that the attack claimed one police officer while the mean accomplice has been arrested and presently cooling off in their custody.
It would be recall that The Story, had earlier reported that in the early hours of Wednesday May 25th 2021, attack was launched at a police patrol team, killing one officer in the community.
