…As Kidnappers Whisk Native Doctor, Two Others

The Catholic Priest in charge of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Very Rev. Father Jude Onyebadi, in Issele-Uku, Aniocha north local government area of Delta State, has been finally set free.

It was learnt that an undisclosed sum of money was purportedly paid to secure his release after staying in the abductors camp for three days.

It was gathered that jubilation erupted in Issele-Uku, when he reunited with his family and the body of Christ, as he was immediately secluded from the masses to enable him have some rest.

Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed his release.

When asked if there was any arrest, she said she has not gotten details yet, “but it is true, he has been released”, she said.

Meanwhile, Kidnappers went berserk in the local government area as they struck on Wednesday on 23rd at Issele-Mpitime community.

The whiskers abducted a native doctor in the early hours of that fateful day.

It was learnt that they knocked on the door of the native doctor while he was still asleep in his apartment.

Also, it was alleged that fierce looking gunmen, also struck when an 18 seater bus coming from Akwa-Ibom to Lagos, was attacked.

The kidnappers abducted the driver and a passenger when they stopped to ease themselves along the road.

It was learnt that the native doctor is yet to be released.
