Heavy gun weirding men have killed a police officer, a driver and allegedly abducted a yet to be identified passenger in a red Venza Jeep with Reg. Number BWR 170 AK to an unknown destination.
Trouble started on Sunday July 4th.2021, at the popular Airport junction along Effurun-Warri road, Effurun in Uvwie local government area of Delta State.
The kidnapper sped off with the unidentified young man after they struck at their targets believed to be he driver and personal security of an All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Michael Johnny, in their already awaiting Yellow SUV Jeep as it could not be ascertained if the man was whisked away in his car.
The victims were driving in their Venza car before they were intercepted by the bandits as the police and the driver died on the spot
Contacted, the Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright confirmed the incidence but debunked kidnapping report.
He said: “Yes, I don’t know the cause of the attack for now. No! Nothing like that. There was no passenger in the car”, just as the image maker disclosed that investigation is on.
