Trouble started on Thursday 18th February 2021, when vehicles plying the road, using one lane as a result of the ongoing construction work on the other lane which is uncompleted.
A post by a Facebook page, Wong Box, claimed that the uncompleted portion of the road caused the accident as six others are severely wounded.
According to the post, the vehicle accident involved a Rodinna fast food vehicle, carrying provisions and a commercial bus carrying passengers.
“Six persons died including two new born babies while about six other persons were injured.
“Accident occurred just now at ibusa bypass in Delta State (close to ADP farms), as a result of uncompleted road construction work. All vehicle are passing one way”, the post added.
As press time, the number plates of the affected bus and long Vehicle Rodinna were not disclosed.
Text message and calls put to the cellphone of the Head of Operations, Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Delta State Command, Bakare Fatai Adesina, were rebuffed.
