The police have arrested a member of a cult group, Chiedu Ewuzie, for his alleged involvement in the murder of one Ifeanyi Umeadi sometime in the month of July 2021 at Ogbeofu quarters of Ogwashi Uku, Aniocha south local government area of Delta State.
Briefing newsmen on Tuesday August 17th 2021, the Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed Ali, disclosed that his arrest was made possible through the combine team of police and vigilante group.
According to Ali, “On the 14th August 2021, a combined team comprising of all tactical squads, Ogwashi-Uku patrol teams and vigilante raided Agidiese Qtrs where twelve suspected cultist were arrested.
“Among those arrested are Chiedu Ewuzie ‘m’, Bright Ushiagwu ‘m’ AKA Small, and Nnamdi Okocha ‘m’ a dreaded arrow barger cult group.
“Nine of the suspected cultists have been charged to court, while the other three murder suspects are still undergoing investigation”.
The police boss, assured Deltans that the Command under his watch is working round the clock with a view to seeing that the state is safe for all.
