Trouble started when Ufuoma’s car was found in the premises, leading to curiosity from neighbours when they woke up with no sign of their presence in the compound but an opened window of his apartment while the door was still locked.
The duo were found dead in their apartment along the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Road in Amukpe area of the local government Council.
The news of their death filtered into town by neighbours who were curious after attempt were made by the neighbors who knocked on their door but got no response.
It was gathered that the neighbors peeped through the window and discovered that one of them was on the bed while the other was found on the floor lifeless.
It was learnt that the deceaseds attended a party the previous night, as they came home late in the night only for their bodies to be discovered the next morning lifeless.
It was gathered that the two lover birds were new in the environment as they newly returned from Abroad in 2019.
It was also gathered that when they returned from the party, they put on their generator, which may have led to their death as a result of the fume from the generator.
At press time, text message sent to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, was not replied.
