It was alleged that the king of the kingdom uses one Kevwe Kumane, nicknamed ‘High Tension’, aka, “If I Am Angry, People Must Die”, to terrorize the Community.
It was learnt that the people of the kingdom revolted against land grabbing, corrupt practices, embezzlement of community funds, destruction, tyranny and dictatorship purportedly done by the king through his “boys”, who parades themselves as community vigilante groups.
“All you hear, is destruction, corruption, embezelment of Community funds, grabbing of Community landsĀ and deaths. We say no to the rule of tyranny and dictatorship”, our source who do not want the name on print disclosed.Ā
It was gathered the people demanded for a change of members of the Vigilantes Squad whom they called “Bakassi” following complaints by members of the public, alleging harrasment, intimidation and molestetion by the Adjuga-led Vigilantes.
Sources said the King vehemently resisted the demands of his subjects insisting that they are his boys and that they must not be changed for any reason.
They wonder the situation where the security of a community is left in the hands ofĀ “Hooligans” paraded by a supposed king, “now see what this boys under the instruction of the king has done”, they wept.Ā Ā
They argued that the king should use them to guard himself and the palace as practiced in other communities, maintaining that it was unlawful for a king to destroy the people he supposed to protect.
“If he so love and cherish these boys why not make them your Palace boys as practiced in other clans? Now imagine a king Killing and destroying his own kingdom just because of a security Committee which is not his birth right”.
They called on the people to come out and defend the land against the evil that has befallen them, lamenting that the king doesn’t contributes towards the social-economic growth of the town.

Meanwhile, the presence of the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Police Force and chairman, Ughelli north local government area, Chief Godwin Adode, was felt in the community.
