PoS Operator Allegedly Shot Dead In Delta

A Point of Sales (POS) operator identified as Kelly Onomor, has been purportedly killed for refusing to submit his N2 million business capital in Sapele, the administrative headquarter of Sapele local government area of Delta State.

Filers from the grapevine has it that the bandits on Tuesday August 10th 2021, attacked the business premises of the deceased and demanded along Ogodo Road by Cementery and shot him dead after he refused give them the said amount money they came for.

It was learnt that he was confirmed dead by a medical personnel at a clinic he was rushed to.

It could not be ascertained whether the hoodlums successfully carted away the N2 million.

A Facebook user, DE Kings King, shared the killing of the deceased on his page.

According to him: “We regret to announce the passing of our brotherly Kelly Onomor who was shot dead by armed robbers over N2 million which he use (sic) to run his PoS business.

“He was shot in his head after refusing to give the robbers the money. May his soul rest well with the Lord”.

Contacted, the Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, said: “I am not able to say for a fact whether the incident happened or not because when our men got there, nothing traceable was found.

“Even till now we don’t even know wheth they shot somebody or not, We don’t know where the corpse is”, stressing that those information would help the police as nobody reported the issue.
