Police Arrest 22-year-old Undergraduate, Murder, Extortion, Suspect In Delta

A 22-year-old undergraduate of Political Science, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Emmanuel Ujedibe, has been nabbed by the Delta State Police Command for killing his two weeks old girlfriend, simply identified as Peace in Asaba, the state capital.

Although, the police Commissioner, Ari Muhammad Ali, who paraded the suspect among others for various crimes on Friday November 11th 2022, at the Command’s headquarter, disclosed that the victim, was a commercial sex worker.

However, while speaking to journalists, the Political Science undergraduate, regretted his actions.

He disclosed that the victim, stole his Iphone 11 pro max, hence he murdered her before setting their hotel accommodation on fire.

The suspect who is equally specialized in extortion, has collected a whooping sum of N4 million from his father, Ujedibe, with the aim of traveling out of the country before nemesis caught up with him.

He revealed that out of the N4 million, he has N1 million gotten from cyber crime, stressing that only N3 million was extorted from his father.

According to the police boss, “Following the murder of a lady named Peace surname unknown, suspected to be a commercial sex worker, who was killed by one Emmanuel, and the room set ablaze by the suspect.

“Operatives of ‘A’ Division Asaba and Anti-kidnapping section embarked on an intelligence led investigation, during which the victim’s phone that was stolen by the suspect was recovered from the receiver who bought from the murder suspect.

“The suspect also masterminded his own kidnapped and has so far extorted the sum of four million naira (#4,000,000) from his father.

“The suspect Emmanuel Ujedibe, 22 years has been arrested. During interrogation, suspect claimed that the victim stole his iphone 11 pro max and that’s why he killed her” adding that investigation is ongoing.
