The Police have nabbed one Joseph Mukala, nickname “Pastor” for purportedly defiling one Godsglory Nnabundo, of Udumuje Quarters, Onicha-Olona, Aniocha north local government area of Delta state.

The State Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed Ali, made the disclosure on Friday 12th February 2021, while briefing newsmen at the Command’s headquarters in Asaba.

“On 19th January 2021, one Goodness Onyepunka of Udumuje Quarters Onicha-Olona alleged that her daughter Godsglory Nnabundo disclosed to her that one Joseph Mukala A.K.A Pastor came to their house and took her on his motorcycle to his house where he had carnal knowledge of her.

“The said Joseph Mukala has been apprehended and he made confessional statement”, Ali added.

Similarly, a 28-year-old man, Dafe Desmond has been arrested by the police after he abandoned the body of his late 18 years old girlfriend, Akpovwovwo Blessing, in the hospital in Abraka, Ethiope east local government area of the state.

According to the police, on 15th January 2021, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Abraka reported that one Akpovwovwo Ogheneovo, of Ugono village Abraka reported that, on the previous day, he received a phone call from one Chief Okponoko Umunade of same address that his daughter one Akpovwovwo Blessing, died in her boyfriend’s house.

The boyfriend, Desmond, who resides at Okwijere Uruoka Abraka, abandoned her corpse at Government Hospital Abraka.

Ali said detectives visited the scene, took photograph of the corpse and removed the body to Obiaruku General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.

According to the police, “Foul play was suspected as the said Dafe Desmond and one Joel Dafe Ruro have been arrested”, disclosing that the case is under investigation.
