ONYEMAECHI: Delta Police Arrest Four Suspects

Four persons purportedly connected with the kidnap of former Delta State Commissioner for Technical Education, Pastor Joan Onyemaechi, aka Ada Anioma, have been nabbed by the police.

One of the suspects arrested sometimes on Tuesday, is allegedly connected to the car used in kidnapping the former Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) member.

It was reliably learnt that the police stormed Otogwu, the river bank of the River Niger, where the vehicle used was set ablaze while her abductors later used an awaiting speed boat to convey their target away.

It was learnt that the police used the chassis number of the burnt vehicle, a unique identification number assigned to a vehicle during manufacturing to track down the suspect.

Though, details are still sketchy, about the remaining three suspects, around Thursday, three of them were reportedly picked by the police for their alleged involvement in the high profile kidnapping that was carried out unhindered in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.

At the time of this report, text message sent to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Edafe Bright, for confirmation has not been replied.

It would be recall that the former House of Representatives member who represented Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency was abducted on 30th of July 2024.

It would be recall also that the former Director General, Delta State Capital Territory Development Authority, was freed on Friday 9th August 2024, after spending 10 days in her kidnappers den.
