[OLEH MASSACRE] THE STORY BREAKING NEWS: Youths Set Agofure Bus Ablaze Over Alleged Murder

If the news making the rounds is anything to go by, a bus belonging to Agofure Transport Line has purportedly killed three persons along Owhelogbo Road, Isoko north local government area of Delta State.


It was learnt that due to the gruesome murder of about 10 youths of Oleh, extraction, Isoko south local government area over a disputed parcel of land, the youths blocked all roads linking Isoko, resulting into rush by drivers and other road users.

Sources on Wednesday 25th November 2020, said following the rush, the Agofure bus driver allegedly rammed over three persons, killing them on the spot.

Miffed by their deaths, the irate youths set ablaze the bus, “they have burnt down Agofure Bus along Owhelogbo Road because of the rush, the driver killed 3 people”.

According to our sources, the crisis started since Tuesday 24th when all the communities around Isoko blocked their entrance and exit routes all in protest of the Ozoro/Oleh Massacre.

“Owhelogbo and Olomoro people are not happy, nothing is being done to address the gruesome killings”, alleging that a prominent politician in the area went to release the arrested suspects in connection to the murder without proper reconciliation.

“Owhelogbo youths have blocked the road, Oleh, also blocked all the link roads, even in Olomoro, the road is blocked”.

He expressed fear that the situation may snowball into war against Ozoro kingdom.

The sources also disclosed that passengers are stranded in Ozoro, as there are no buses and other vehicles driving in and out while the journey of two hours now turns to six hours.

“Our political class, Kings and government should look into the matter before it fully degenerate into war”, they warned.

Contacted, the Head of Operations, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Bakare Fatai Adesina, noted that he got information of the crash but promised to get back in two hours time.

It would be recall that between 7-10 indigenes of Oleh, Isoko south local government area of the state were purportedly killed over land tussle.
