The traditional ruler of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo, Urhukpe 1, in Ughelli south local government area of Delta State, has been declared wanted by the high command of the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
The coronation of the king on November 16th 2023, saw Ewu women with a black spiritual casket to the middle of the community and laid a curse on those bringing crisis and commotion to the kingdom by trying to force an unknown individual as king on the indigenes of the kingdom.
Tension enveloped the ancient Ewu-Urhobo kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, as the womenfolk in the kingdom, embarked on a peaceful protest in condemnation of what they tagged ‘forceful imposition and planned installation of one Clement Ikolo as their king.’
The protesters maintained that Ikolo is not an indigene of Ewu-Urhobo kingdom, just as they despatched strong words to the state governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
Meanwhile, the military post reads: “WANTED PERSONS IN CONNECTION TO THE KILLING OF 17 NIGERIAN ARMY PERSONNEL AT OKUAMA COMMUNITY”.
Also, the President-General of Ewu communities, a university lecturer, Professor Arthur Ekpekpo.
Similarly, six others were declared alongside with them for alleged killing of soldiers are Andaowei Dennis Bakriri, Akevwru Daniel Omotegbo (a.k.a Amagben), Igoli Ebi, a woman.
Others are Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki and Reuben Baru, who in a viral video accusing the military of escorting bunkering activities from Ijaw people while destroying theirs.
