Non-indigenes Condemn Fulani Jihadists Threat On Delta

Association of Non-indigenes in Delta State have condemned in strong terms, the Fulani Jihadists threat on Agbor, Ika south local government area and Asaba, the state capital.

Chairman of the association in the state, Chief Joseph Ikhena, in a press briefing, expressed readiness to uphold the peaceful co-existence, the body has enjoyed with their host communities in the state.

While revealing that they have lived in the state for years, he said they would continue to synergize with the government in ensuring that the much enjoyed peace is not truncated.

He noted that Deltans are hospitable people and would do anything to sustain the tempo aimed at sustaining the finishing strong agenda of the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa administration, disclosing that some of them are in the governor’s cabinet.

According to him, the recent Fulani Jihadists warning from Usman Dan Fodio heritage was uncalled for, describing it as a mere fallacy aimed at distabilizing the government of the day.

“Since the release of the news, Fulanis in the state have not had it easy, as they were also feeling insecured and have decided to join force with security operatives in fishing out those behind the scene it.

While disclosing that he has asked the members to report any suspicious movement from anyone from their tribe or any part of the country who is out to perpetrate evil in the state, he urged Deltans to be watchful as they go about their normal activities, as the association would ensure that it protects the interest of the state.
