In spite of receiving the highest federal government allocation and heavy security vote, whiskers have seen Delta state as a safe haven for the ill gotten wealth and illegal business.
Few hours after the Chairman, Warri north local government area, Amb. Aduge Okorodudu, returned from Asaba, the state capital for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) state Congress, held on Saturday 8 August 2020, heavy gun wadding men have feasted on him.
According to reports the Warri north Council Boss, Okorodudu, was kidnapped this evening at about 7:00pm by unknown gun men at Nanna College area of Warri near the ‘A’ Division police station and Area Command of Warri.
The gunmen opened fire on the driver of the council Chairman bashing his legs with bullets before whisking his principal away to an unknown destination, while the driver was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile the security agents in state have been alerted about the ugly development.
Across the state, there are reported cases of security challenges despite military base purportedly attracted by the state government.
