An attempt to whisk the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Security, Chief Ernest Nikoro, failed.
Trouble started last night, Monday May 23rd 2022, long Warri/Sapele Road at about 9:00pm when it was raining cat and dog, as the abductors struck near the police post when trying Warri.
The kidnappers, it was gathered allegedly whisked some travellers and led them to the bush.
However, luck fell on the Aide as it was learnt that the kidnappers later freed Chief Nikoro, on the ground that he was not their main target.
It was gathered that operatives of the Nigerian Police, at about 4:00am this morning, escorted the released victim home.
In another development, abductors have kidnapped one person identified as Frank.
The victim was whisked last night along NDCC Road in Amukpe, Sapele local government area of the state.
Our source revealed that the kidnappers are yet to make contact with the family as the victim’s phone number is presently switched off.
