Delta State government in a military style, has sanctioned a journalist over a report the government was not comfortable with, The Story, can authoritatively report.
It was alleged that the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the state governor, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, purportedly issued the sanction on the journalist.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu, has queried the General Manager (GM), of the state own print media outfit, publisher of The Pointer Newspapers, Mr. Monday Uwagwu, for the said story.
Investigation revealed that within the space of eight months, the Information Commissioner, has purportedly issued three queries on the GM.
Also queried is the Saturday Editor, Mr. Francis Nwabiani, over same story published on 25th July 2020.
