A group of young people numbering between 5-10 have been spotted parading welding equipment around to deceive unsuspecting members of the public in the name of empowerment in Ughelli, the administrative headquarter of Ughelli north local government area of Delta State.
The group drives in a van with the welding equipment from one welding workshop to the other, snapping pictures with them to depict that they have empowered them with the tools.
A source who pleaded anonymity, said “these are some group of 419 who are using these tools to deceive people all in the name of empowerment”.
The source called on the state government and relevant authorities to clampdown on the group who may have defrauded some gullible members of the public.
“Government should look at these people very well. This event happened in Upper Agbarho today, they were carrying the tools from one workshop to another taking pictures in the name of empowerment and nothing has happened”
According to our source, the group’s photographer, was dressed in white Polo while the prime suspect who brought the things wears a black cap, alleging that they came from Uwherhu, to Upper Agbarho in ughelli, to defraud people.
