A 59-year-old father and three sons have allegedly beaten one Emmanuel Onoghome to death for dating their sister in Sapele, the administrative headquarter of Sapele local government area of Delta State.
Trouble started on Abeke Road, Sapele, when the father of the girl identified as Michael Agbokun, alongside his children purportedly attack the deceased, leading to his death.
It was gathered that the case was transfered to Police Headquarters, Asaba before it was later transferred back to Sapele Correctional Centre last month.
It was gathered that the accused father, who exonerated his wife and children from the fisticuff, claimed that he was the only one who allegedly caused the death of the Onoghome, popularly called ‘Emma”.
Mr. Agbokun, who was allegedly detained at the Force Headquarters in Asaba, has been taken to Sapele, as the case was taken to court on 25th April 2022, for justice by the deceased family members.
It was learnt that though the family of Mr. Michael Agbokun, are appealing for forgiveness, it was alleged that the family is equally making frantic efforts to sweep the matter under the carpet.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DAP Edafe Bright said it was untrue, ‘for now it is absolutely false, I am not aware”.

The girl Papa wey him and he children beat the young man kpuff so, he name na Mr Michael Agbokun and him na 59yrs. The name of the boy wey dem beat kpuff so, na Emmanuel Onoghome popularly known as “Emma”.
As we report earlier this year, na the man and he children and wife nai beat the Emma kpuff, but the man (Mr Michael) dey claim say na only him nai beat Emma.
The Mr Micheal dey big yard for Asaba since but dem don carry am come big yard for Sapele because dem take the matter court on the 25th April 2022.
We hear say the family of Mr Michael don go beg, but dem norva ready (Dem dey take the Late Emma senior brother dey play).
The Mr Micheal family dey form one kind thing because of some kind people wey dem get for Government, but the Late Emma family dey hold ground say dem nor go allow the matter to sleep or sweep am under Carpet, as dem tanda to seek justice for their Brother.
